It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Handschuh (Hatboro, Pennsylvania), born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, who passed away on August 25, 2019, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Young and Rosalia Schild; his siblings, Anna Husen, Josephine Connolly, Elizabeth Reutter, Joseph, Frank, Anthony and Charles Handschuh; and his grandson Matthew.
He is survived by: his children, Karen Pleasants, John (Maryanne), Ed (Elle), Jim, Maureen and Mark Pleasants; his grandchildren, Michael, Lisa, Eddie, Johnnie, Erica, Jimmie, Brian and Emily; his great grandchildren, Gavin, James, Alucard and Hank; and his sister Rose Grolnick.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Girard College Alumni Association at 2101 South Girard Avenue, Philadelphia PA 19121 in John's memory.
