He was predeceased by: his father James Trainer; and his stepfather Chief Harry R. Knorr, Jr.. He is survived by: his mother Eileen Trainer; his wife Doris; his son Michael; his stepmother Therese; and his siblings, Tara, John (Caitlin), Kevin (Emma), Brian, Megan Tyson (Bill) and Kieran (Frances). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
