He is survived by : his wife Margaret McGonigle (Jane); his children, Margaret Kane-Walls (George), Theresa (Fred Zipf), Sally Rubenstein (Barry), Joe, Jr. (Karen), Colleen Robinson, Kathleen Kenney (Cholly), Mary and Kevin (Kristin); his grandchildren, Sara Miller (Mike), Erin Zipf, Kristen Robinson, Shannon Robinson, Lauren Kane, Brendan Kane, Kara Kenney, Christopher Kenney, Shawn Kane, Dan Kane and Colin Kane; his great grandchild Hailey Miller; and his nephews, Bob Brennan, Patrick Brennan and Michael Brennan.
