He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph B. Nellegar Sr. and Mary Nellegar (McHale); and his brothers-in-law, William Wolter and Ralph Lopardo. He is survived by: his wife Mary A. Nellegar (Altemose) of Henryville, PA; his children, Joseph Nellegar (Cheryl) of Florida and Rachel Bell of Maine; his stepdaughters, Vicki Dudley (Thomas) of Pocono Summit, PA and Robyn Yemm (Greg) of Jim Thorpe, PA; his grandchildren, Connor Bell, Aidan Bell, Julia Bell, Dalton Nellegar, Skylar Nellegar, Jacquelyn Dudley, Olivia Dudley, Lea Yemm and Connor Yemm; his siblings, Robert Nellegar (Edna) of Edison, NJ, John Nellegar (Rose) of Bloomfield, NJ and Barbara Lopardo of Connecticut; his nephews, Timothy Nellegar (Jennifer), Nicholas Nellegar and Michael Wolter (Jennifer); his great-niece Kaitlyn Nellegar; and his great-nephews, Patrick Nellegar, Ryan Wolter, Lucas Wolter and Noah Hill. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a Charity of One's Choice.
