He was predeceased by: his parents, James Thompson and Evelyn Scott Thompson. He is survived by: his wife Kathy McLaughlin Thompson; his son Christopher Paul Thompson of Gettysburg, PA; and his siblings, Jeanne Yingling (Barry) of Claysburg, PA and Paul Thompson (Allison) of King, NC..
Due to COVID restrictions a celebration of Peter's life will take place at a later date.
