He was predeceased by: his parents, Christopher Pape and Helen Pape (Quinn); and his brothers, Robert, Edward, Thomas and James.
He is survived by: his wife Jacqueline McConahy; his children, Laura Sackin (John, Sr.), Hugh Jr. Pape (Kathy), David, Steven Pape (Wendy) and Patrick Pape; his sisters, Joann Lavender (Bill), Carol Moses and Maureen Duncan; his grandchildren, John Sackin, Jr. (Amber), Amber Meanor (Owen), Dakota Cameron, Haley Gurneal, Montana Pape, Sydnee Pape, Jake Pape, Kaidan Pape, Kameron (Sara) of Jebedia, A. J., Patrick Corso (Brooke) and Thomas Corso (Savanah); and his great grandchildren, John Sackin, III, Carmelina Meanor, Nathan Sackin, Logan Meanor and Jameson Corso.
