Louis J. Maierhofer Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Louis J. Maierhofer of Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 18, 2025 at the age of 98. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ludwig J. Maierhofer and Magdalena Maierhofer (Heiss); his children, J. Dwight Maierhofer and Claire Anne Rand; his granddaughter Michele Egerter (Maierhofer); his siblings, Joseph Maierhofer (Louise), Teresa Lang (Walter) and Louise Gioiosa (Victor); and his aunt Mary Melnick.
He is survived by: his daughter Mary Lou Maierhofer Brennecke (Harold J. III); his son-in-law John C; his grandchildren, Heather Sammons, Kelsey Isa (Ib), Shelby Rand, Nathaniel Rand and Harold Jefferson Brennecke, IV; his great grandchildren, Ashley Ludwig (Jon), Austin Sammon, Bonnie Sammon, Lily Rand, Noah Isa and Oliver Isa; and his great great grandchild Triston Ludwig.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Stevens Mortuary, Inc. (1421 8th Ave, Altoona, PA 16602). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church (1405 5th Ave, Altoona, PA 16602).
