He was predeceased by : his parents, Lawrence M. Fry and Mary Fry (Staff). He is survived by : his wife Linda K. Fry (Stephens); and his brother Keith Fry of Lucernemines. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

“Linda, Our hearts break today to learn of Merv's passing. It was just a couple weeks ago that we were able to visit with you both in our home. We are very sorry and our prayers are going up to our Lord for you. Shortly after my own sister died, we moved to Indiana beside you and your parents. You all became family to us. You became my little sister and good friend for nearly 40 years now. We're sad but know that Merv is now celebrating with our Savior. With Love, Deb & Shawn Golembesky”
