It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Julie L. Shaffer of Honesdale, Pennsylvania, who passed away on June 7, 2025, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Marcello Pagliano and Julia Pagliano Kolenick (Esporrin); her stepfather Michael Kolenick; and her brother Rodney Pagliano. She is survived by: her husband William C. Shaffer; her children, Jennifer Brower of New Jersey, Lisa Flynn of Scranton and James C. Flynn Jr. of New Jersey; her brother Marshall Pagliano; and her grandchildren, Donald Caro III, Elizabeth Strouse, Dawn Strouse and Vincent Strouse.
Viewing will be held on Tuesday, June 10th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Howell Family Funeral Home (269 Belmont St, Waymart, PA 18472). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 11th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, June 11th 2025 at the Waymart Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Julie's memory to any local food pantry, or the charity of the donor's choice.
