He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Kern and Rella Fuller Kern; his daughter Jessica B. Kern; and his brother Charles "Chuckie" Kern. He is survived by: his wife Karma Lloyd Kern; his children, Kelcy Atwell and Ajay Kern of Jeannette; his grandchildren, Preston Kern and Jaxton Palikaras; and his siblings, Dana Tudor (John) of South Carolina, Rita Kern of Connellsville and Robert Kern of Jeannette. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
