He was predeceased by: his parents, William Friel and Marie Friel; his son Alexander Friel (late Natalie Wychozowycz); and his brothers, Dennis Friel and Matthew Friel.
He is survived by: his wife Janet C. Friel; his daughters, Colleen Callahan (James) and Amy Carminati (Darin); his grandchildren, Brenna Callahan, Jack Callahan, Darin Carminati and Mabel Carminati; and his brothers, William Friel and Gerald Friel.
In lieu of flowers we kindly request donations to be made to Community College of Philadelphia, where all three of his children attended.
