He is survived by: his parents, James Maffett and Chiarina Visco; and his children, James F. Maffett (Virginia) of Antes Fort, David L. Maffett (Amy) of Linden, Victoria J. Lundy of Kernersville, N. C. and Carrie A. Greevy of New Columbia. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; 4 stepgrandchildren; and 8 stepgreat-grandchildren.
