He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Ward and Ruth Hazel Mottern (Harris); his wife Betty Mottern (Janisak); his children, Daniel, Jeffrey Mottern and Barbara Stephenson (Lester); and his siblings, Luther Blair Mottern and Iris Hladio (Mottern).
He is survived by: his children, Dr. Richard Mottern (Nina), Susan Peters (Dick) and Kathleen Mottern; his grandchildren, Ben Mottern, Alex Mottern and Devin-Marie Brown; his sisters, Debra Fabrizio and Carol Moore; his niece Donna Rito; and his daughter-in-law Susan Mottern.
Due to Covid, a private viewing and service will be held at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Davidsville.
