She was predeceased by: her parents, Owen Heeney and Bertha Goss; her former husband Elmer Simmons, Jr.; and her sisters, Jean Fox and Jacqueline.
She is survived by: her children, Rebecca Stoner (Larry), Wendell Simmons (Carole) of Lakeworth, FL and Pamela Mowrey (Philip) of Fuquay Varina, NC. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
