Gregory Monk Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gregory Monk (Johnstown, Pennsylvania), who passed away on January 24, 2020 at the age of 48. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Maurice K. Shaffer Sr., Orpha Wirick Shaffer and Marianne Galloway; his uncle Maurice K. Shaffer Jr.; his stepsister Gwen Cosgrove; his nephew Jesse Galloway; and his close friend Terri Barkhimer.
He is survived by: his parents, Bonnie Galloway and Earl W. "Bill" Galloway; his brother Jeffrey Monk (Cathryn); his stepbrothers, Todd Galloway (Sue), Troy Galloway and Jay Galloway; his aunt Sue Shaffer; his uncle Gary Shaffer (Jan); his stepgrandmother Doris Shaffer; and his great-aunt Marion Lohr. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
He also had a love for animals, the family suggests, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Cambria County Humane Society.
