It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Helen Shomo Hunter of Johnstown, Pennsylvania, who passed away on May 19, 2021, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, John Shomo and Elsie Shomo; her brother Vernon Shomo; her husband Samuel Hunter; her children, Diane McLaren (John) of Virginia Beach, Virginia., John Hunter (Lenora) of Birmingham and James Hunter (Ann) of Brooks, GA; and her grandchildren, John McLaren, Sara Maynard, Thomas Hunter, Daniel Hunter, James Hunter and Helen Alexander. She was also cherished by eight great-grandchildren.
