He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer Mattes and Lucy Lucille Mattes (Logue); and his sister Sherry Lou Mattes. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Mattes (Trohanowsky); his children, Jeremy Mattes (Amy Rosella) and Lori Shropshire (Thomas); his grandchildren, Alison Mattes, Abbey Rose and Waylon Edward Shropshire; and his siblings, Sharen Balazik (Donald) of Johnstown, Homer Mattes of Johnstown and Diana Abbey (Terry). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Donations may be made in Larry's memory to the Vietnam Veterans of America 364 Chapter, Johnstown.
