Othmar C. was predeceased by: parents, Othmar Thiel and Catherine Thiel (Gillin); wife Kathleen (Seifert); son Stephen Thiel; and siblings, Pat Herter and Joe Thiel.

Othmar C. is survived by: children, Cathy Barron (Keith) and Tim Thiel; grandchildren, Nadine Hardison (Donald), David, Kristie Jenkins and Lily Thiel; great grandchildren, D. J., Daizon, Kaelyn and Ryder; and siblings, Rose Herter, Charles and Bernard Thiel. Othmar C. is also survived by brothers and sisters in law; and numerous nieces and nephews.
