He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanford D. Gates and Margaret Gates (Kristoff); his brother Stanford "Wess"; and his nephew Clifford Gates. He is survived by: his sisters, Marjorie Dunmeyer and Shirley (Stanley Wozniak); his sister-in-law Anna Mae Gates; and his nephews, Thomas, Robert, Louis, Michael Gates, Scott, Shawn, Craig Dunmeyer and Stanley Christopher.
