It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley M. Bates (Johnstown, Pennsylvania), who passed away on December 9, 2021, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Rocco Delusa and Margret Delusa (Varner); her husband Raymond Bates; her siblings, Nunzio "Jumbo", Eugene, Charles, Alfred, Richard and Mary Jane Dunlap; and her siblings-in-law, Roy Dunlap, Alfred Jimerson, Kathleen Delusa, Joan Delusa and Darlene Delusa.
She is survived by: her siblings, Robert, Donald, William (Connie) and Camille Jimerson; her sisters-in-law, Jean Delusa, Grace Gorman and Mary Delusa; and her nieces, Esther Ruznski (Dunlap), MaryAnn Gornick (Delusa), Gina Vitalie (Delusa) and Susan Lovette (Miller). She is also survived by many other nieces and nephews.
