He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas G. Updyke and Ruth F. Updyke (Shirt); his wife Kathleen Updyke (Baranik); his granddaughter Tessa L. Updyke; and his siblings, Emily Updyke and Daniel Updyke.
He is survived by: his children, Denice M. McMillen (Tom), Matthew D. Updyke (Monica) and Jonathan T. Updyke (Jodi); his grandchildren, Hali Smith (Josh Buchanan), Katie Ferguson (Andy Dorchak), Tyler Updyke, Lidia, Anna Duffield, Mattie and Eli Updyke; his great grandchildren, Ella and Kenleigh; his siblings, Donald Updyke (Deborah) and Mary Albert (Jim); and also Jackie Ferguson (Ron). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
The family suggests memorial contributions to Oakland Volunteer Fire Company, 1741 Bedford St., Johnstown, PA 15902 in memory of Thomas C. Updyke.
