He was predeceased by: his parents, John Briggs and Henrietta Briggs (Jones); his former wife Manon Briggs (Buchanan); his wife Edna Briggs (Svoboda-Hagerich); and his stepdaughter Gwendolyn Thompson.
He is survived by: his son Raymond Briggs (Carol Mooney); his sister Audrey Lipuma; his stepson Scott Hagerich (Diane); and his stepgranddaughters, Holly and Shannon. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
