He was predeceased by: his wife Joan E. Mazurie (Schaeffer); his parents, Lewis D. Mazurie and Marie K. Mazurie (Sicher); and his sisters, Jeanette Keiser and Mae Schoch.

He is survived by: his children, Debra E. (David Hoch) and Leon W. II; his granddaughters, Stephanie (Michael Bennecoff) and Kelly (Matthew Schlegel); and his great grandchildren, Derek, Kayla, Grant, Lexi and Aubrey.
