Andrew T. Marhevka Obituary

We are sad to announce that on August 1, 2025, Andrew T. Marhevka of Lake Ariel, Pennsylvania, born in Dunmore, Pennsylvania passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, John Marhevka and Anna Hudak Marhevka; his grandson Craig Marhevka; and his siblings, Mary Ostromecki, Ann Haidler, Irene Jalkowsky and Cyril Marhevka.

He is survived by: his wife Joan; his children, Thomas Marhevka (Mary), Michael Marhevka (Irene Slavinski), Robert Marhevka (Robin), Andrew Paul Marhevka (Jill) and Kathryn McAndrew (Patrick); and his sister Josephine Valenti. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren.

He went on to serve the parish as a Eucharistic Minister as well as the primary altar server for funerals for more than 20 years only stopping due to the pandemic.
