She was predeceased by: her parents, Louis Burgess and Verna Dymond Burgess; her husband Gordon Linney; her son Jeffrey Talcott; and her siblings, Gerald Burgess, Louis Burgess, Eleanor Kinney, Esther Carey, Loretta Adams and Marion Anderson.
She is survived by: her children, Debra Petkavich (William) of Factoryville, Marlene Linney of Scranton, Richard Linney (Wendy) of Tunkhannock, Dean Linney (Linda) of Scranton and Jim Linney of Glenburn; and her brother Wayne Burgess (Marie) of Tunkhannock. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
