He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Charles Basenfelder and Rose Basenfelder; his wife Charlotte (Clark); his brothers, Mark and Brian; his former life partner Joan DiDonato (Anthony); his children, Paul (Mary Beth), Andrew, John (Jessica), Stephen and Sylvia Trafficante; his stepson Kenneth Brooks (Michelle); his grandchildren, Allie, Jake and Madeline; and his brother John Basenfelder (Eleanor). He was also cherished by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Gregory's honor may be made to the PHL COVID-19 Fund.
