He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Ann Cahill (Gelches); his children, David T. Cahill (Joyce), Donald P. Cahill (Alice) and Maureen Houy (late Richard); his grandchildren, Kevin (Kyra), Caitlin (Mackenzie), Tyler (Emily), Sheri, Callie and Jeffrey; his great grandchild Jackson; and his sisters, Dolores Cahill and Anna Mae Chulko.
