He is survived by: his wife Linda Girty (Fetterman); his children, Charles Girty (Kim), Joseph Girty (Christine) and Melissa Kostelnik (Jeffrey); his grandchildren, Emily, Katelin, Jeffrey and Autumn; his mother-in-law Catherine Vranic; his siblings, Terry Podgorski (Paul), James Girty, Kathleen Girty and Colleen Grzelka (Francis); and his sister-in-law Joyce Gratter (James). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
