He was predeceased by: his parents, Victor and Catherine Franklin, Sr. (Olwell); and his brother VIctor Franklin, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Carol A. Franklin (Brutz); his children, Michael Franklin (Vicky) and Ellen Franklin (Frank); and his brother Donald Franklin (late Cheryl). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
