He was predeceased by : his parents, Joseph Deitzel and Mary Deitzel (Baluka); and his niece Rita Kovacsics. He is survived by : his sister Mary Ann Kovacsics (late Raymond); his nieces and nephews, Pat Wigda (Bob) and Chris Kovacsics (Maureen); and his great-nephews, Dan, Nick Wigda and Raymond Kovacsics.
