Joan R. Carpenter Obituary
In loving memory of Joan R. Carpenter of Cornwall, Pennsylvania, who departed this world on December 5, 2025 at the age of 92. Joan leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. She was predeceased by: her spouse Sterling "Starky" Carpenter; her parents, Joel Dundore and Susan Dundore (Bucher); her grandson Adam Schlegel; and her brothers, Mark and Clarence Dundore.
She is survived by: her children, Ruth Ann Schlegel (John), Arthur Carpenter (Nancy) and Susan Steckbeck (Jeffrey); her grandchildren, Alyson, John, Emily, Julia, Joseph, Kathleen and Meygan; her great grandchildren, Guinevere, Jocelyn, Redmond, Sage and Lincoln; and her siblings, Ralph Dundore and Lucille Devitz. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 10th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Iona United Methodist Church (1920 S 5th Ave, Lebanon, PA 17042). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Zion United Methodist Church of Iona (1920 S 5th Ave, Lebanon, PA 17042). A burial will be held on Wednesday, December 10th 2025 at the Cornwall Cemetery (170 Schaeffer Rd, Lebanon, PA 17042).
In lieu of flowers, donations in Joan's name may be made to Zion United Methodist Church, 1920 S 5th Ave. Lebanon, PA 17042.
