He was predeceased by : his parents, Wilbur Detwiler and Magdalen Swanger Detwiler. He is survived by : his wife Pat; his brother James of Fairfield, PA; his sister-in-law Diane Detwiler; his niece Tammy Hauer (Brett) of Jonestown; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Tatum Doney and Trey Hauer; his niece Lori Ferzandi (Zubin) of Carmel; his great-niece Maya; his great-nephew Ethan; his nephew Brian Detwiler (Kate); his great-nephew Nolan; his nephew Travis Aurentz (Fallon) of Palmyra; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Aydin, Adysin and John.

In lieu of flowers, donations in John's name may be made to the Lebanon Valley Family YMCA or the Lebanon Rescue Mission.
