He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Grill and Elizabeth Grill (Lerch); and his sisters, Cecilia Woefling and Delores Shalters. He is survived by: his wife Rosemary A. Grill (Dissinger); his daughters, Melissa A. Quigley (Patrick) and Kathryn E. Hoeppel (F. Chad); his granddaughters, Meagan and Sarah Quigley; and his siblings, John Grill, Mary Light and Donna Rettew (Mike). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
