He was predeceased by: his parents, Josephine Wertz (Wolfe) and Franklin Wertz (Frank); his wife Anna Mary Wertz (Lerch); his stepfather Daniel Sattazahn; his brothers, Dennis and Dale Wertz; and his half-brother Robert Bordener.
He is survived by: his children, Bruce Wertz (Laura) of Silver Spring, MD., Bonita Stover (Lee) of Gaines, PA., Barry Wertz (Jen) of Martinsburg, WV. and Bradley Wertz (Mary Mottin) of Lebanon, PA.; his grandchildren, Abagail, Megan, Shannon, Elisabeth, Peter, Jeremy, Brian, Dale, Ezekiel, Gabriel, Nathanael, Dustin and Kyle; his great grandchildren, Alexander, Olivia, Aurora, Kinsley, Sean, Gideon, MaryAnn, Desirre, Edward, Matthias, Elian and Montana; and his siblings, Connie Coggins of Myerstown, Cecilia White of Lebanon, Fran Smestuen of Menomonie, WI and Scott Wertz (Deb) of Annville.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 6th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Rohland Funeral Home Inc. (508 Cumberland St, Lebanon, PA 17042). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 6th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Rohland Funeral Home (508 Cumberland St, Lebanon, PA 17042).
