He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward F. Nierer and Sabina J. Nierer (Williams); his son Wayne Nierer; and his brother John Nierer. He is survived by: his wife Dorothy M. Nierer (Berger); his children, Steven Nierer of Allentown, Brenda Walter of Slatington, Lori (Blaine Eckhart) of New Tripoli and Sabina (Chad Schippang) of Bath; and his siblings, Alex Nierer (Linda) of Slatington and Carol Lichtenwalner of Slatington. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.
