John D. Matis Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John D. Matis in Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania, who passed away on June 13, 2020, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Matis and Teresa Matis (Kerbacher); and his brother Gregory Matis of Bethlehem, PA.. He is survived by: his sisters, Sylvia De Luca of Lititz, PA. and Lori Knauss-Verzino of Aquashicola, PA.; and his close friend Marge Bilheimer of Allentown, PA.. He is also survived by nieces and nephews', other relatives and cherished friends.
Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his honor to the Coplay Saengerbund, a place near and dear to his heart where he enjoyed many years filled with music heritage; as well as many happy memories with friends and family.
