He was predeceased by: his parents, Roderick Dech and Nancy Dech (Weida); and his mother-in-law Barbara Somers (Slocum). He is survived by: his wife Karen; his children, Carter, Preston, Ethan, Cassandra, Sophie and Olivia; his brother Peter Dech; and his father-in-law Thomas Somers, Sr.. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
