He was predeceased by: his parent Elmer Heist. He is survived by: his parent Louise Heist (Berreth); his spouse Kathleen L. Heist (Fries); his children, Karen (Gary Hammer) and David (Susan); his grandchildren, Allison, Kylee, Eric and Brandon; and his siblings, Sharon Hothan (Gary), Brenda Peterson, Cynthia McCormick, Donald (Georgene) and Brian (Wendy). He is also survived by 7 nieces. 11 nephews.
Richard E. Heist, 75 of Walnutport, formerly of Allentown, passed away in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Muhlenberg Campus, Bethlehem, on Mar 13, 2018 after a long battle with Alzheimer's Disease and complications of the flu.
