He was predeceased by: his father James A. Nugent Sr.; and his siblings, Kathleen Knauer and Gregory Nugent. He is survived by: his wife Yvette Nugent; his sons, James Nugent and Brandon Nugent; his daughter-in-law Jessica Nugent; his grandchildren, Matthew, Josh and Ella; his mother Jean Hoffman Nugent (Hoffman); and his brother Douglas Nugent. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, Development Office, 34th St. & Civic Center Blvd., Philadelphia, PA 19104.
