He is survived by: his child Edward Runkel Jr.; his wife Erica of Lewistown; his sisters, Emma Faux of Delaware and Peggy S. Bell (Robert) of Harrisburg; his grandchildren, Eddie Runkel, Hannah Runkel, Joshua Ritter, Megan, Julie and Sean Gutshall; and also, Tammie Ritter (Richard) of Lewistown, Mandy Gutshall (Steven) of McClure and Jeremy Runkel (Gergana) of Bulgaria.
