She was predeceased by: her parents, John Whiteman and Clayre Whiteman (McCardle); her husband Richard L. Moore; and her siblings, John Whiteman Jr., Jeanne Ferreira and Jackie Varish.
She is survived by: her daughter Joan Marie Schmidt (Craig) of Carlisle; her grandchildren, Rachel, Logan and Alexis; and her brothers, Joseph Whiteman (Barbara) of Havelock, N. C and Class.
