She was predeceased by: her parents, Wayne York and Reba York (Fuller); her husband Earl J. "Red" Kauffman; her son John R. Schell Jr.; her granddaughter Zoe Rea Schell-Truitt; her great grandchild Camden Vaughn; and her siblings, James E., William H., Roy E., Richard and Shirley York.
She is survived by: her children, Christine Vaughn (Gene) of Shirleysburg, Debra Bryner (Brian) of Lewistown and Gary Schell of Lewistown; and her siblings, Dorothy Murphy of Lewistown, Robert York (Joan) of Lewistown and Linda Lyter of West Virginia.
