He is survived by: his wife Susan Sassaman (Spigelmyer); his children, Michael of Lewistown, Shawn Sassaman of Lewistown and Raymond J. Sassaman, III (Ashley Davis) of Lewistown; and his siblings, William Sassaman of Mifflintown and Ruth Peffer of Lewistown. He is also survived by three grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
