He was predeceased by: his parent Morris Eckert; and his brother Carl Eckert. He is survived by: his parent Minnie Eckert (McCoy); his spouse Vera Eckert (Mickler); his children, Karen Commins, Lititz, Kathryn Wanenchak, Bruce Eckert and Robert Eckert; his grandchildren, Elizabeth, Susan, Mark, Laura, Andrew, Kiel, Micaela, Timothy, Michael, Eric, Owen, Jeremy, Hudson and Caleb; and his sisters, Rosene Sweigart of Columbia and Nancy Fittery of Manheim.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Don's memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
