He was predeceased by: his parents, Kathryn Troutman Bitting and Frank Bitting; and his brothers, Kenny Bitting and Herbert Bitting. He is survived by: his wife Lucille; his children, Diana Powers of Mount Bethel, PA, Frank Bitting of Long Pond, PA, Linda Phillips of Stillwater, NJ and Patty Deckert of Fredon, NJ; his grandchildren, Richard, Steven, Tyler Powers, Timothy, Anna, Mollie Bitting, Tonya Phillips, Ryan Phillips and Jimmy Deckert; and his siblings, Richard, Elimra and Margaret.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that contributions may be directed to Parish Office Vocations, in care of Sts.
