He was predeceased by: his parents, Clair G. Hardy and Edna B. Hardy (Rowles) of East Waterford; and his siblings, Clair Hardy of East Waterford, Bernice Dills of State College, Jackie Hardy and Kay Mundy of Linden.
He is survived by: his children, Nancy Lee Hardy (Bubb), James W. Hardy, Jr. (Darla) of Muncy, Vickie L. Wentz (Michael) of Shermans Dale, Christina M. Hardy of New Bloomfield and Dennis J. Hardy (Karen) of Elliottsburg; and his siblings, Jane Heikes (Delbert) of Cogan Station, Ann Auker (Joe) of McClure, Wilma Shuey (Jim) of Centre Hall, Donna Vawn of East Waterford and Donald Hardy of Blairs Mills. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren.
