She was predeceased by : her parents, Thomas A. Stiffey and Sadie Mae Stiffey; her children, Robert McElwee and Carol Reese; her granddaughters, Macie Jo Kowchuck and Tammie Kowchuck; her siblings, Clara, Terry, Clayton, Aaron and Joe; and her daughter-in-law Lorraine.

She is survived by : her children, Ken Stiffey of Diamond Spring, CA and Barbara (Greg Hockenberry) of Indiana, PA; her brother Dennis Stiffey of Bolivar; and her close friend Gerald Barnett of Lucernemines. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
