She was predeceased by : her parents, Howard Payne and Esther Payne (Kurth); her husband Willard Ristau (Bill); her children, Richard C. Ristau and Susan C. Lewis; her grandson David C. Ristau Jr.; and her sister Shirley Kroeger.

She is survived by : her children, David Ristau Sr. (Mary), Paul Ristau (Rachel) and Katie Conti (Chris); and her grandchildren, Eric, Robin, Jeff, Mary, Julie, Steven, Brian and Tim. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren, one nephew and two nieces.
