He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Monroe Dourte and Susie Brubaker Dourte; his wife Wilma Herr Dourte; his brother Victor (Lois); and his children, Maxine (Luther Schwartz, Manheim), Loine (James Hain), Marjorie (Franklin Groff, Manheim), Colleen (David Bradstreet, Norristown), Nevin Dourte (Doneen Ruhl, Manheim) and Jeseen (Troy Bauman, Lititz). He was also cherished by children are 21 grandchildren (4 of whom preceded him in death) and 30 great-grandchildren.
