He was predeceased by: his parent Ralph H.; his mother-in-law Kathryn Weirich; his sister-in-law Bonnie Espenshade; and his nephew Robert Espenshade. He is survived by: his parent Dorothy Espenshade (Deaven); his wife Joan Espenshade (Weirich); his son Ty Espenshade (Joanne) of Manheim; his siblings, Ralph Jr., Fred Espenshade (Vaniece), Kathy Menear (Karen Wise) and Danielle Espenshade; his granddaughters, Elise Espenshade and Hannah Espenshade; his stepmother Barbara Espenshade; his father-in-law James Weirich, Sr.; and his brother-in-law James Weirich, Jr.. He is also survived by two nephews and one niece.
